It Feels Good to Sit

We’ve been at WJCT’s 50th anniversary gala, and I’ve been on my feet gripping and grinning for about 4 hours.  As Jimmy Buffet once said … “My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, and I Don’t Love Jesus” …

My mother would be mortified to read that.

I wish I ‘d had my camera driving home from work this afternoon.  A guy on a crotch rocket raced by me, and of course I wound up next to him at the next light.  He was wearing baggy shorts … nylon kind of athletic things that are available at Wal-Mart’s everywhere.  He was all crouched down over the handlebars of the motorcycle, and the waistband of the shorts was about half way down his butt … so his athletic-department gray underwear was on prominent display.

If that weren’t ridiculous enough … he wasn’t wearing a helmet, but was wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face … that was a skeleton face.  It was about the most ludicrous thing I’ve seen in .. well … several weeks.  I laughed out loud.  He was trying so hard to be sooooo cool … and just looked stupid.

I know, I’m old, but I’m the guy that does the hiring.

Anyway, that’s about all you get tonight.  I’ll try to write more tomorrow.
